Time flies... This is the last month of the project, the month that marks the end of the project and, at the same time, the month of renewal: the month of spring when everything is reborn. The skills to be acquired are those of the passing of time, the clock ticking, the days ticking away, the months coloring the seasons... So the pupils made a list of the different instruments they could use to tell the time, and then created a clock with numbers from 1 to 12 all around it to mark the passing of time. The pupils then matched the events of the year with the seasons: March is also the month of Pi, Pi Day on the 3/14. As Pi is a number that never ends, the circle is the appropriate symbol. So each partner worked with their pupils on the circle. We were inspired by the German painter HUNDERTWASSER to create our forest of trees whose branches form concentric circles within each other. The result is a collaborative poster: And to round off this wonderful collaboration in style, a book and a...

Do it like Kandinsky  Active activity with geometric shapes On the floor there are various shapes close to each other. We give different commands to the children: The left foot in the square, the right foot in the circle. The right hand in the triangle, the left in the rhombus. We continue similar instructions. When the first child moves on, another follows, etc. Each student made their own tangram with shapes they drew themselves! Board game with dice and shapes Creating an image with shapes only

Space and Positions Space, knowing our world also means knowing where our body is in the space of this world and where the objects are in this space: up, down, beside... Here we go... Le jeu auquel les élèves n'échappent pas est celui de "Hide and Seek". In February, we are working on positions and directions in a specific space: that of a flat sheet of paper. Moving from the space experienced in three dimensions to the space to be identified is a different exercise that requires other skills, in particular the ability to represent one dimension in relation to another.                      It has been a great joy for my pupils to dance on the position song which was our collaborative activity for the month: ‘Here we go up, up, up...’ We also took part in Safer Internet Day, on 11 February 2025, with a jigsaw puzzle to complete the poster produced by all our partners for the occasion.           Without forget...

Measure Measuring is another way of looking at the world through numbers. Most of the time when pupils are asked to find who is the biggest, and to try to classify themselves by size, they form teams of two back to back and put their hands to their head to find a difference; That's what my pupils first did 😉 Then, we worked on classifying sticks and finished our work by measuring our selves using a yardstick. Time flies, as a child, each year brings a few extra centimeters... 😊
